White will make his one-day debut in the first game of the Super Series. He had taken 2 for 49 for Victoria in the warm-up game against the World XI. Both teams decided to name their Supersubs before the toss.Sunil Gavaskar, the World XI chairman of selectors, confirmed that Virender Sehwag and Kumar Sangakkara will open the batting for the World XI. Meanwhile, Ricky Ponting said that Simon Katich will replace Matthew Hayden as Adam Gilchrist's opening partner.Teams
